The 26th FAOBMB Conference will be held as a combined meeting with the Japanese Consortium of Biological Sciences (ConBio 2017).

FAOBMB is a Joint Partner in this Conference; Co-organizers are The Japanese Biochemical Society (JBS) and The Molecular Biology Society of Japan (MBSJ).

Many other Japanese Societies across the broad field of Biological Sciences are participating in this Conference.

The venue is Kobe Port Island, Japan (Kobe Portopia Hotel, Kobe International Conference Center, Kobe International Exhibition Hall, Kobe Chamber of Commerce and Industry)

As part of the registration process, you need to declare that you are a financial member of an authorised national society. For persons registering as members of such national societies or groups of biochemists or molecular biologists in the FAOBMB region, please take notice of the following  information:

If you are a member of national societies or groups of biochemists or molecular biologists outside Japan (i.e. a Constituent Member of FAOBMB) a use the link on the registration page to FAOBMB and enter the specific Code for the particular Constituent Member society or group of which you are a current financial member, and also the most recent date of payment of membership fees.

If you are a member of the Japanese Biochemical Society, use the link on the registration page to JBS and enter your membership number and also the most recent date of payment of membership fees.

If you are a member of the Molecular Biology Society of Japan, use the link on the registration page to MBSJ and enter your membership number and also the most recent date of payment of membership fees.

Also, an accommodation booking site provided by the official travel agency of ConBio2017 will be linked to the ConBio2017 webpage from 3 July to mid-November.

Application for FAOBMB Travel Fellowships: 31 July 2017

FAOBMB will provide a number of Travel Fellowships for young biochemists and molecular biologists to participate in this FAOBMB Conference. More details can be found here. The closing date for submission of applications is 31 July 2017.

FAOBMB Travel Fellows will be allowed to complete the abstract submission from 20 – 31 August 2017. Applicants will be informed if their fellowship application is successful by 16 August 2017.

For those applicants for FAOBMB Travel Fellowships who would like to make a presentation regardless of whether they are awarded the Fellowship or not, they MUST submit their abstract through the meeting site from 3 to 18 July in order to include their abstracts in relevant poster sessions.
